Day 75: Looking for "The One"

The first thing out our busy agenda for the day, was to try out a new pizza place in Lacon, Illinois. It's called "The Pizza Peel" and is in the basement of a building in the downtown of this small, quaint town. It was a great little restaurant and we ordered WAY to much food! It was really good and we had lots of leftovers--which we ended up leaving at my parents house :( so they got to enjoy them. After having lunch, we headed over to the animal shelter in town. I had talked to the owner on the phone earlier in the week and she remembered talking to me. She asked us questions about our housing situation, fenced in yard, kids, etc. and then we walked through the building and she pointed out the dogs she had to show us. There was one that was really friendly and I wanted to see what she was like out of the cage. Her name is Sundae because she was left at the shelter on a Sunday. The owner put her on a leash and brought her to the front room. She was so friendly and nice, a little energetic :) but really good dog. We took her on a walk and she was really excited to get outside. She's a black/brown, 3 year old that's has a little bit of everything in her, boxer and rottweiler mostly. We left there knowing we had something to think about but we wanted to check out a fwe other places too.

We got to Flanagan and changed our clothes before going with my parents to my uncle and new aunt's wedding reception in Pontiac. They eloped and were having a nice dinner back in town to celebrate with family.
