After work today, I ran an errand for my dad to pick up a part for one of the semi's. It was kind of funny walking into this parts place because there were just a bunch of guys standing around and I think kind of surprised that a girl was coming in-haha. Anyway, Steven and I met up with my mom and dad later this evening to deliver the parts and get something to eat. We found a new restaurant that seems to be as close to the middle between our houses as possible. The food was decent and it was nice to get to catch up a bit before going back home. I was really craving POP at the restaurant too!! I've been doing really good and haven't had any since December 26th. Everyonce in a while though I get a craving and just want some!!

My smart phone isn't so smart any more..well at least the phone part isn't. I took it out of my pocket today and notice the screen is shattered! I'm hoping since it is in a special case to protect against this and has insurance that it won't cost anything to get it replaced..we'll see :(
Our wedding cake is officially in OUR freezer! Since the wedding, it has been at my parents house in their freezer. My mom took on the job of wrapping it up so nicely after the wedding-complete with layers of cling wrap and foil before being placed in 2 freezer bags. She even printed off specific defrosting instructions for when our anniversary comes!! Crazy it's almost been 1 year!! It will be fun to try the cake and see how it tastes! :)
Steven and I helped with a youth event at church tonight. They were having a photo-scavenger hunt around Peoria and we got recruited as helpers! It was fun to get to know some of the young kids in our church and have some fun! After the scavenger hunt we headed to Kartville to race go-karts and play some mini-golf!
Tonight Steven and I met up with a co-worker of mine and her sister to go to a Lee Brice concert at an outdoor pavilion outside of Peoria. My coworkers sister just happens to be Steven's cousin-in-law so they knew each other! It ended up being a LONG night, but the weather was really nice (a bit cold at times) and the music was really great! We borrowed some lawn chairs from our neighbor but ended up not even using them much because we were standing the whole time! It was a nice change of pace and something fun to do :)
Tonight I had a meeting with a local nursing home company. I might start working a couple extra hours there, a weekend day a month or so. The place was AMAZING! It's a nursing home, but also has a retirement community and an assisted living. It's high class for sure! I'm pretty excited about it. It will be nice to see PT from another side of things! :)
After that, I headed over to church for 2 choir practices. Let's just say my voice was a little tired after 2 hours!
Steven had a get-together with his coworkers today after work. A guy's night complete with grilling out and someone's home brew! I used this opportunity to go and get Chinese food supper!! I realized I wanted to eat something that I can't go and eat with Steven and I decided Chinese was in order-complete with crab rangoon! I don't think I've had Chinese for the last year!! It tasted pretty good! Made me miss my friend Traci from Iowa though because we would go and get Chinese or whatever foods for supper a lot of nights, just hang out and study. Although PT school was hard and stressful, I made some really great friends and I'm sad that we can't just see eachother every day like we used to! Hopefully a reunion will be in order soon!
